महोत्सव निर्देशको भनाइ :
नेपाल आदिवासी जनजाति चलचित्र महोत्सव केवल चलचित्र प्रदर्शनको औपचारिक मञ्च मात्र होइन, यो नेपालका आदिवासी जनजाति समुदायहरूको भाषा, संस्कृति, इतिहास, स्मृति र अस्तित्वलाई विश्वसामु प्रस्तुत गर्ने एक सशक्त सांस्कृतिक आन्दोलन हो । चलचित्र आजको सबैभन्दा प्रभावकारी दृश्य–भाषा हो, जसले सीमाना, भाषा र भूगोलभन्दा माथि उठेर मानव अनुभवलाई जोड्ने क्षमता राख्दछ ।
नेपाल बहुराष्ट्रिय, बहुभाषिक, बहुसांस्कृतिक र बहुजातीय सभ्यताले निर्मित राष्ट्र हो । यहाँका आदिवासी जनजाति समुदायहरूले आफ्ना मौलिक ज्ञान प्रणाली, विस्वास पद्दत्ति, मिथक, लोकसाहित्य, जीवनदर्शन र सांस्कृतिक अभ्यासमार्फत मानव सभ्यतालाई विशिष्ट योगदान दिएका छन् । तर विडम्बना, ती ज्ञानहरु मुख्यधाराको दृश्य इतिहासमा अपेक्षित रूपमा प्रतिनिधित्व हुन सकेका छैनन् । यही ऐतिहासिक शून्यतालाई सम्बोधन गर्ने प्रयासस्वरूप यो महोत्सव आयोजना गरिएको हो ।
हामी विश्वास गर्छौं— चलचित्र केवल मनोरञ्जन होइन, यो पहिचान, प्रतिरोध, स्मृति र सामाजिक न्यायको दस्तावेज पनि हो । यस महोत्सवले आदिवासी जनजाति चलचित्रकर्मीहरूको सिर्जनशीलता, वैचारिक स्वतन्त्रता र सांस्कृतिक आत्मसम्मानलाई अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय स्तरसम्म विस्तार गर्ने महत्वपूर्ण सेतु निर्माण गर्नेछ ।
यस ऐतिहासिक यात्रामा साथ, सहयोग र ऐक्यबद्धता जनाउने सम्पूर्ण चलचित्रकर्मी, विद्वत् समुदाय, दर्शक तथा साझेदार संस्थाप्रति हार्दिक आभार व्यक्त गर्दछु ।

Statement of the Festival Director
The Nepal Indigenous Nationalities Film Festival is not merely a formal platform for film exhibition; it is a powerful cultural movement that presents the languages, cultures, histories, memories, and identities of Nepal’s Indigenous Nationalities to the global stage. Cinema, as the most influential visual language of our time, possesses the unique ability to transcend borders, languages, and geography, connecting diverse human experiences into a shared narrative.
Nepal is a multinational, multilingual, multicultural, and multi-ethnic nation. The Indigenous Nationalities of this country have made profound contributions to human civilization through their unique systems of knowledge, belief systems, myths, folklore, philosophies of life, and cultural practices. However, these invaluable knowledge systems have not yet received adequate representation within mainstream visual history. This festival is an effort to address that historical absence.
We firmly believe that cinema is not merely a form of entertainment; it is also a document of identity, resistance, memory, and social justice. This festival aims to serve as a vital bridge, expanding the creativity, intellectual freedom, and cultural dignity of Indigenous filmmakers onto the international stage.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to all filmmakers, scholars, audiences, and partner organizations who have contributed their support, solidarity, and commitment to this historic journey.
